Sixteen-year-old model Molly Morris is the face of "Ask Amy" for Lipstick Royalty - she's the girl on my banner! When she got in touch with me a couple of weeks ago, asking if she could get a bit more involved, I couldn't resist asking for an interview! Obviously, I was even happier to find out that she fully fits in with the Lipstick Royalty ethos!

How did you get into modeling?
I happened to get discovered on MySpace of all things. A photographer in my area asked to take pictures of me. From there I created a Modelmayhem and became pretty popular in the
What's a regular day in your life? Is modeling as glamorous as people imagine?
My day consists of sleeping in till late morning; I'm definitely a night owl! I usually get myself ready for the day hang out with friends, my boyfriend, and just drive around and relax. I only go to school a few days a week so it doesn't take up a lot of my time. During the summer I spend a lot of time outside swimming and "trying" to tan.
Modeling is my life; I absolutely love it. It for the most part is glamorous, but when you're getting paid and don't have control of what your shooting sometimes my pictures don't turn out how I like them. Also, modeling is obviously very much based upon your appearance. Sometimes people are harsh. For me, it's important to stay positive and work hard knowing that I'm proud of my work and what I do.
Another issue in modeling is the other people you have to work with. I have been lucky to work with a lot of very compassionate, friendly people, but there is always someone who has an opinion or something to say to bring you down.
Have you ever encountered any put-downs or insults because of your profession? If so, how did you feel?
There are a lot of people who do not support what I do. Either people see it as something unrealistic, or even sometimes conceited. The only thing that had honestly ever gotten to me was an issue about my weight. I have been told a handful of times that I would not make it in this industry unless I was a bean pole. Now I see these things as the more reason to work hard and show people what I got! :)
What are your aspirations for the future?
In my future I hope to get further in this industry. I'm looking to move to LA and continue college while pursuing my dream. I also enjoy doing hair and make up so beauty school is another career I'd like to look into. As a commercial model I hope to work with bigger clothing companies, designers, and renowned photographers!
Have you got any advice for anyone who wants to be a model?
If you want to be a model I highly encourage it. Do what you like and never do something you wouldn’t want to see in the future. Everyone is beautiful in their own way; keep in mind that there's always going to be someone prettier, smarter, and skinnier, but it's you who can be successful and be your own person.
What kind of music, films and TV do you like? The stereotypically girly stuff, like people would expect?
Surprisingly my favorite music is hardcore punk. My boyfriend introduced me to harder bands since he was in one himself. Of course I also love hip hop, something to dance too. My favorite band of all time is Paramore. My favorite movies are the sappy love stories, The Notebook, and A Walk to Remember. Twilight is one of my new favorites, I'm hooked!
I love reality shows. They make me laugh. I love celebrity news and gossip! What can I say? I'm a reality junkie!
You're my banner! Had you read or heard of Lipstick Royalty Magazine before that happened?
My photographer friend Natalie saw me on your site. I checked it out and really appreciate what you do! I really love the site. There's a lot of fun stuff to read!
What's your guilty pleasure?
Video games. I'm a nerd at heart. :)
Where in the world do you wish you were right now?
I wish I was in
Describe yourself in 5 words!
Outgoing, loyal, blonde, loving, and compassionate.
What motto do you try to live your life by?
Dance like nobody's watching!

Isn’t it refreshing to find a model who doesn't care what people say? And who won't conform to stereotypes? I love it! Thank you so much, Molly!
